What a lovely tribute to Charlie. I don’t think I have laughed so much at a funeral. You all did a great job in sharing Charlie’s life and putting it down on paper so beautifully.
So sad for your loss, but heaven’s gain. I believe Charlie went back to his roots and his faith in recent times, knowing he needed to acknowledge his Saviour Jesus Christ. And……another story on food, he gave me rhubarb out of his garden in Meeniyan, but I had to bake him a rhubarb cake in return. Did this a few times. He also visited the kids and myself at Inverloch each summer when he’d come thru the park, looking out to see if we were there again camping. Stay for a longgggggg cuppa, and made us laugh a lot. I also would see Charlie on the bike on the rail trail at times, we’d pass each other and then realize. He came to our outdoor Easter and Christmas services in the park in Meeniyan too. Have our own great memories of Charlie. Funny man, but geniune. Sorry I didn’t come today, but watched on line.
