Dearest Sue and family, I’ve just watched the beautiful service for Allan…I’m sorry I couldn’t be there. it was incredibly touching and so befitting for the great gentleman and friend he was so so many. My thoughts and love I send to you Sue and the family, for which Allan was so so proud x x x
Best wishes and sympathy to Sue and all the family. It was such a shock. Allan was a special and truly good and kind man. Most memories are of Allan helping us, happily involving himself in making my garden projects work, despite some eye-rolling at what ‘project’ might be next. He dropped everything to help and organise daughter Anna and her car when it broke down; when my husband, Peter, died he came over and washed all the windows in preparation for the visitors, without any mention to me. Unfortunately there was one of the worst storms the Island had experienced and I wouldn’t have appreciated it, but others told me of that kindness. He must have been in our lives more than 20 years, perhaps up to 30, and became much more of a friend than someone who regularly mowed our grass and he always kept us up to date with family and activities with our cups of tea! His presence will be missed.
Sending love, strength and courage to you Sue and Family. Al was such a beautiful kind man and I’m so grateful for all he did for me in my younger years. Al always kept my property neat and tidy, he had a great sense of humour and sometimes on my darkest days he would always manage to make me smile. A great man that will be greatly missed🥺 Thinking of you Sue & sending you lots of love and a great big huge hug🙏💐❤️xxxxxx
