Julian,
in the brief time we spent together as colleagues, we connected. We prayed together and you carried my burdens. Your faith in Christ was demonstrated in the way that you showed His love towards me when I felt that my world was crumbling down. You shared about your own burdens and that helped me tremendously. You helped me trust God’s guidance even through I wanted to be in control. Thank you. I know that you have gone to meet our Lord and you are sharing in the peace and joy alongside my mother who left to be with our Lord only a few days earlier. I wish I was there with you both.

I would have loved to have been there in person today, but am grateful for the chance to join you online in grieving Julian’s death while celebrating a life well lived. Julian was a dear friend and brother in Christ. He embodied the grace, kindness and joy of God, just in his way of being in the world—gracious, kind, caring, funny, and always available for a chat and prayer over the innumerable cups of tea we shared while I rented a room in his house during my uni days. Julian, my brother, I look forward to meeting again over cups of heavenly tea in God’s good time. With love, prayers, and gratitude, Michael, Lara, Caela and Hannah Gladwin

Julian showed us his great faith when he worked with us at Chairo, Pakenham. We were blessed by his presence with us. He shared not only his faith with me, but his love of Scandi noir novels.
Prayers for God’s comfort for Sarah and all of Julian’s loved ones at this time.

The Eulogy and Family and Friends Tributes were absolutely lovely. Well done.
James gave us the picture of a full and generously loving life. Miles and Jordan provided a wonderful double-act, Julian’s sisters were poignant, and Sarah, you were inspirational. How marvelous to be able to share your beautiful experiences with Julian, especially the revelation that there are magnificent colors in heaven.
And such a delightful collection of photographs. It was a truly fitting and meaningful service.
What an honor to have been able to meet someone so loving and deserving of so much love.

When I think of Julian I think of goodness, love, grace and kindness because that’s what he was to me and I saw that reflected to his cherished family.
I am blessed to have known him
And the world is a better place for his time spent on this earth. His ripples will always resound.
My heart and love go out to Sarah and Julian’s sons and all family. May God be near to them and bless them and carry them through this tender time and the times that lie ahead.
Once met never forgotten.✝️ May we meet again.

Awesome funeral as Julian’s life. Be happy for the life he enjoyed to the most with the family he had in this world. Sarah, Jordan, Miles, Peter, Daniel…in laws..grandchildren…sisters..when one meets any of you…one realizes the good nature in your hearts. That’s Julian’s legacy along with his life companion dear Sara. “What beautiful colours in Heaven!”. No doubt he is there enjoying the happiness that God gives to all that has so much love in this blink of life…make the grief of this moment turn in a good life that honour and carries on Julian’s way of living…he is just there first waiting for you until meeting again. Love & prayers for his soul.

What a beautiful ceremony and such a moving eulogy Sarah. I feel very privileged to have known Julian – albeit for only a few years. I always enjoyed our chats down at Cape Woolamai. He was such a kind and life-affirming person, and the two of you clearly shared a wonderful love. I am so sorry for your loss and will see you on the Island soon xx
