(Sorry we cant attend, Mum has just come home from hospital & is weak as a kitten after a stroke.) she knows about Merle’s passing and sends her love. For many years I’ve treasured a cassette recording of Merle’s playing. I never met her in person but being able to stream the service today has been inspiring.
Thank you for sharing this very special occasion online. What a wonderful God-honouring service it was. I look forward to good catch up with Bruce and Merle when we all get to Glory.

Being in SA and unablexto travel down today, I send all my love to the Bruce & Merle Watkins family clan, keeping you in my prayers.
Such a beautiful tribute to Aunty Merle…watched on the livestream (which was done very well) and can say it truly blessed me. I knew a little of what was shared by Heather, Robyn and Bronwen so well with heartfelt honesty including her extended family, and how much your mum loved the Lord Jesus, but to the extent of how much she had shared her gifting and time for the Lord both at home and for the missions was not fully known.
Indeed, she is one of whom it will be said, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!”

Hello ‘Watkins Girls’, you and your children all spoke so well as you honored your Mum. What wonderful memories I have of your parents and you as we grew up at North Balwyn and then in later years, but always of your Mum’s amazing piano playing. It certainly was a lovely service, with much laughter, lovely stories and above all with pure love. All the tributes were worthy of Aunty a true tribute to her family. Lessons learnt, stories told and passed through the generations. xoxo
