My memories of Aunty Merle – a force of nature, little Christmas presents sent in mail when we were little, a memorable holiday at Safety Beach when I was a teenager, pitching in to stay with Dad while Mum underwent some serious medical treatment in Melbourne, a garden always full of beautiful flowers, African Violets at the old house in Warragul. A woman who was always there to provide support when it was needed. Appreciated and never forgotten. My condolences to Warren, Narelle and Meredith and to their families. Sharyn

My heart and thoughts are with all of the family and her nearest and dearest. My memories are of a power pack of a woman – with incredible energy, bubbling spirit and a meticulous home & approach (& sponge cakes); the joy she had in her family and friends and her amazing garden. What a beautiful service – she would have loved all the beautiful colourful flowers and the photos; and the service to honour her life. I also loved learning of how many places her travels took her to in her later years and how her family helped to facilitate these trips and as a bonus, got to share the fun and in her adventurous spirit & create beautiful memories. What a wonderful life. RIP Aunty Merle.
