Farewell Monika, May the joys continue for you on the other side. You were a special lady and a kind aunt to us as little girls. Always in my heart.
My deepest sympathies to you all. Xx

Dearest Monika,

I was deeply saddened to hear of your passing.

I have many fond childhood memories of you. I remember trips to the beach with you and Boulis, where you would treat both Chrissy and me to ice creams that would often melt in the sun, before we even had a chance to eat them! There were also many sleepovers, and we simply loved spending time with you both.

I fondly recall Boulis’ antics and, in contrast, your love of books and your passion for encouraging others to read. Each Christmas, you would thoughtfully gift us books. I remember receiving copies of Black Beauty and A Tale of Two Cities, and I am happy to say that the latter I still have to this day.

May you discover a heavenly library above.

My thoughts are with your beautiful family during this difficult time.

May you rest peacefully in the arms of the angels.

With love,

Evie ❤️

Hearing the stories of her post-war years was especially inspiring. She was clearly a strong and resilient woman who overcame so much throughout her life with grace and determination.
She is free from pain and at peace now, reunited with those she loved ❤️ Sending out love and heartfelt condolences to you all, Natasha and family P.S The more I think about it, ice cream on toast sounds pretty good- though I suspect it was more French toast 😉 She was definitely onto something!
